Sky Blue - Mediterranean Design
Baby blue is a hue that derives from blue. The shade is created from a blend of blue and white hues and is associated with tranquility. Baby blue is also connected with purity and the celestial, seeing as it is the color of the sky. Baby blue is the shade of truth, devotion and tranquility, it is a profound and heavy hue, which on the one hand is perceived as encouraging optimistic sentiments and emotions, and conversely, is thought to be a harsh hue that evokes insecurity. In order to utilize baby blue in its positive contexts, moderate and calculated use is recommended in home design, and it is also advised to use its various shades in order to obtain what baby blue does best - leaving a calm, cool and profound sensation.
An outdated and lackluster bathroom can be rejuvenated by using baby blue bathroom tiles such as Voga tiles and adding bluish towels, a baby blue rug, and blue soaps to complete the design.
In a kitchen with walls and surfaces painted in light hues such as white, eggshell and grey, it would be great to add baby blue eating utensils, semi-transparent glass in a deep blue and even colorful plastic dishes. Of course you can change the order around - paint the walls in baby blue and add accessories in complementary shades such as brown, beige, and eggshell.
A winning combination for the bedroom: ceiling and walls in shades of baby blue, and all the rest of the items - carpeting, bedding, furniture, etc. - in earth brown, grey and peach tones.
Baby blue with red elements is considered bold and regal, representing wealth and aristocracy, making it a very suitable choice for the entrance hall - as plaster on walls, in flower pots, or in a Turkish hamsa (lucky talisman).
Turquoise is a blend of green and blue, both of which contain elements of nature, hence its vibrancy, youthfulness, purity and freshness, which makes for a very good combination on a wall of a work den, creating an invigorating environment.
The color that complements baby blue is orange, and a combination of the two in a room provides enriching harmony. When a more refined effect is desired, color combinations that are "closer" to baby blue, for example, blue with green, should be used.
Middle Eastern countries derive inspiration from marine elements and from a continual breezy sensation. This ambiance typifies us as well, and so it is recommended to combine white walls with doors and doorposts in shades of baby blue.

Nature's Hues
Nature's hues are visible in trees, in the earth, in rocks, in chocolate, in coffee and in sand. These are deeply-rooted earth tones, natural and warm, that create a caressing and embracing atmosphere within the space of one's home.
Nature's tones are comprised of brown, oily, off-white, beige and khaki shades, and therefore they are nature's most dominant tones, controlling wide open spaces of landscapes, vegetation, trees and animals.
Even in an urban residential environment, one may create an atmosphere in tune with nature, by using these tones on the walls, and combining different elements such as: wooden furniture, coconut shell bowls, mats made of seaweed and more.
The infusion of nature's tones will reinforce and support the home and its occupants, the link of these tones with mother earth helps provide a supportive feeling that the world surrounding us can provide us with the energy and strength to continue and move forward.
Nature's colors will forever be the neutral and natural tones. These colors have the capacity to enable any other color to stand out against their backdrop; they will always match and they may be spotted virtually everywhere.
Bringing nature's hues into every home is akin to introducing each one of the warm colors, it will always contribute to the look and design of the home's space; one may combine a room in solid colors such as off-white with an added touch of a bold and darker color on only one wall of the same room; the dark hue must be selected according to what exists in the space, the tones of the furniture and upholstery, rugs, etc. Spaces painted in warm colors will in most cases be welcoming settings and will provide a sense of comfort and calm.

Purple winter
| With the changing of the seasons, some of our habits and moods change as well, winter with its short days and low temperatures brings with it a stark atmosphere, its symptoms manifest in fatigue, lots of sleep, cumbersome clothing, etc.
| When it comes to home design in the winter, we want to alleviate the gloominess and bring in a warm, homey and cheery atmosphere. Moreover, today we live in a society that is partial to variety and changes, we look for sophisticated and elegant design, with clean minimalist lines, and that's why the word is out for this winter - and it's the color purple.
| Pallid as a delicate lilac, vivid as an eggplant, and sweet as a plum, purple, when used right in home design, will usher in a unique, unanticipated and warm atmosphere that has great presence. Purple is the hue of cleanliness and purity of the soul, where passions and creativity meet and intuition and inspiration coalesce. Purple is the right hue for steady reflection, it will suit the rest den in your home and/or a closed in porch. Lavender is a gentle, soft and very positive purple, and in diverse and extremely light tones, it is the right match for walls and furniture, and even for accessories such as bedding, frames, posters, or vases. In order to create an illusion of a higher ceiling in the living room we suggest that you paint 3-4 stripes in purple-lilac shades, which will "stretch" the distance between the floor and the ceiling, and will give the room a sophisticated and distinct look. Because purple symbolizes sensitivity, and is perceived as invoking inspiration and creativity, a few purple embellishments should be added to your study, or office. However, you should keep in mind that this color can sometimes evoke discomfort, or convey "loudness" and an atmosphere that is too intense within the room, and so it should be integrated in moderation. The color that complements purple is yellow, and together they create harmonious completeness. A combination of purple and yellow makes for a radical look in home design, particularly when you want a stimulating environment.
To lighten up a "serious" kitchen designed in grey, white, and black, we recommend "splashing" dabs of lilac purple in the room, which will communicate cleanliness with a hint of reserved seriousness. To create a more appealing and enticing look in your bedroom, we recommend including purplish items along with pale yellowish objects, as well as light blue with dabs of orange. An alluring and classic look will be created by combining plum purple and olive green, for example, in the eating corner, where the frame of the chairs can be green and the seat upholstered in purple.

Autumn 2007
| In the fall, the weather changes and the shorter days, the autumn colors and the soft fabrics, will convey a sense of coldness and we will counter this with the fall's yellow trend so that we can feel warm and cosy at home.
| The yellow hue develops intelligence, industriousness, and communicativeness. This is a hue that symbolizes faith and good will, a hue which served the Caesars in China. Attributed to the earth element, yellow represents our connection to the earth, pragmatism, wisdom and tolerance.
Designers use yellow to create a unique trendy look, employing gold yellow, honey yellow, and sunny yellow.
| The autumn fashion trend is also geared towards yellow. Shoes, handbags, belts and fashion accessories are all yellow. Yellow is as refreshing and invigorating as a lemon, as multifaceted as a sunflower, and as exotic as a pineapple. And so we will welcome the yellow hue into our home in all its tones.
| The yellow hues are well suited to dens and offices, as these hues promote intellectual work and decision making. This coming fall it is recommended to combine yellow hues in your home along with its main hue. You can create a central wall with an interesting texture in a yellow hue or add colorful touches to accessories or anything else that comes to mind.
